Tis the Season
For my friends that don't read the paper (you know who you are), saw this in the Record Searchlight this morning. See the things you miss when you don't read the paper! (Wink, wink! LOL...)
Now the holidays can begin!

Happy Thanksgiving!
Happy Thanksgiving to everyone! We had an event-filled day with great friends and family. We started off with an annual tradition of ours, the Turkey Trot. This year the kids ran the Diestlehorst Dash and got their chocolate 'trophy' and then we all walked the 2 mile. It was about 36 degrees out there this morning but it felt good to get out there and walk around before a big day of eating!
(Yeah, don't ask. That is Jacob in a pirate outfit at the dinner table.) I am thankful for so many things this year. I have the support and love of my family and so many wonderful friends. Thank you so much for being there.

Soccer Party
Last night we went to Jacob's end of season soccer party...fun to see all the kids out of uniform and playing together. Jacob got even got a cute bobble-head trophy!
Jacob and his coach, Randy.
Funny story...Jacob and Ella have completely different personalities which was evident today. They were watching a Goofy movie and there was a scene with Goofy skateboarding. Ella got all excited and told me she wanted to do that and "Go Fast!" I asked Jacob if he wanted to skateboard too and he said, "No, I might get hurt." That pretty much says it all! Ella is very adventurous while Jacob is much more cautious. Just sitting and watching a movie they are very different...Ella likes to watch a movie in the dark, surround sound turned up; Jacob on the other hand prefers all the lights on and runs out of the room or covers his ears and eyes at any loud or slightly scary scenes.

Last soccer game, oh no!
Today was Jacob's last soccer game for the season. We've had such a wonderful time we hate to see it end but I gotta say it's probably just in time because it was C-O-L-D out there this morning! We'll have one last team get-together this week for a pizza party and trophy ceremony but other than that we will look forward to doing it again next year.
Jacob got invited to a new friend's birthday party for this afternoon which had a Home Depot theme...really fun with all kinds of woodshop projects, and Home Depot themed activities, the birthday boy even arrived in a Home Depot truck! (Of course I totally forgot my camera!) He went home with a few extra projects so him and Dad had fun constructing and painting them when we got home.

Challenge
So this morning at playgroup we were talking about how much Jacob and Ella looked alike, I've always thought they could be twins separated by 22 months. Well Stephanie suggested I find a picture of Jacob at Ella's age now and compare the two, well I just did that and it is quite remarkable. Can you tell who is who? (Jacob didn't get it right the first time, but Ella did!)

Rainy Day
It's a cold and rainy day today so while the kids are watching Shrek, I'm in my office listening to music and attempting to get caught up with my photos...however, I am VERY easily sidetracked...thought I'd share some of my finds and projects!
Warning, warning...Rob Thomas stuff coming up! Dug this very old clip up of Rob's first band, Tabitha's Secret...the acceptance speech gave my heart a little jump. LOL! He was about 22 here (he's now 34, so you can tell how old it is).
Blast from the past! Can you believe this is only Ella two years ago?
What a difference a couple of years make!
I leave you with this....the ultimate rock star!

Happy Halloween!
We had an incredible Halloween this year! Started off with taking Jacob to preschool. They had pajama day and he was so excited he got to wear his new pirate jammies to school, he also got to bring a favorite bed-time story to share with the rest of the class. He chose Curious George visits the Chocolate Factory. After picking him up for school we all started getting our costumes to go to our great friend's annual Halloween Party for dinner and trick-or-treating. It was such a great time, Halloween is one of my favorites and to be able to share it with friends is wonderful. And now to
'officially' reveal the costumes for this year!!
Jacob as a cowboy sheriff...
Ella as Cinderella....
And Aaron and I as the Rock Star and his Groupie! (You can't tell, but my shirt read "I'm with the Band")
