Home and exhausted
We're back from Vegas and as expected, had a wonderful time! The whole trip was a roller coaster of emotions though and we're glad to be back with the kids. Hmmm...I guess the best thing to do is a recap day by day.
Sunday....Flew in and checked into our hotel (Palms Hotel and Casino). A bit off the main strip and a young Hollywood hotspot which was both good and bad but always captivating...people watching was incredible and saw quite a few quasi-famous people...if you consider reality TV people to be famous that is. Mini-me was an interesting sight...surreal sight, I suppose. Actually just watching the scene was a reality show in itself.
Monday....checked out the strip and Madame Tussauds Wax Museum....this was a lot of fun! You could touch and really check out the celebrities...some were more realistic than others. Spooky haunted house was part of the whole package too with all the famous horror dudes. We did lots of shopping or I should say browsing. I got on a mission to find a purse and Aaron on a mission to find new jeans...both of us successful. We headed to Freemont Street Experience when it got dark. It was St. Patrick's Day. That equals craziness in the seedy (more seedy?) part of Vegas!
Tuesday...Hung around the Palms and the Rio Hotel and Casino which was across the street. Had our one meal of the day at the longest buffet we have ever seen...300+ options...Carnival World Buffet...we highly recommend it...surprisingly tasty food for a buffet. Relaxed by the pool a bit...though we were overdressed for the scene. :-) The evening was the big concert of course! Mute Math, Alanis Morrisette and oh yeah, Matchbox Twenty. The show was incredible though we could do without General Admission seating again. Lots of fighting and pushing...we lived through it though and still had a great time.
Wednesday....Flew home on 2 hours sleep. Awww a great time...time to get some sleep!
Click for photos from our trip! I only used my iPhone to take photos at the show...i wanted to focus on the show rather than take pics the whole time. I have a bunch of great photos from the people all around me though that had much better cameras, plus some video we took that I'll put together into a slideshow later. It's 12:30am and I'm Exhausted....time for BED!

Blog Mojo
I seem to have lost it! It's been a crazy busy last few weeks, just not a lot that's been blog-worthy I guess. I haven't taken too many photos either, well unless you count photos of jewelry. I have amassed quite a few photos on my phone though....I guess the photos on there can sum up my last few weeks...
I guess the most shocking news of the past couple weeks (yeah right!) is I'm blonde again....
Skiing!

Etsy on Martha
I have had an incredibly overwhelming experience to opening my Juella Designs shop on Etsy just over a month ago. I am so thankful, though it's kept me very busy! A big thank you to my Matchbox Twenty fan friends who have been a huge support. I was not fully aware of how big of an impact Etsy as a site is out there in the cyberworld. I have had so much contact from people all over the world and it's incredible! In fact I can now say my jewelry is international. Yesterday Martha Stewart did a feature story on Etsy though I missed it, fortunately another 'Etsian' recorded it and posted to her site. I found it interesting and thought I'd share it here.....Etsy on Martha

My Birthday
Wednesday was Ella's day, Thursday was mine (though I did share it a bit with Ella)! The day started with a beautiful day of skiing at Mt. Shasta while the kids were in school. The weather was gorgeous, the snow perfect, and very little people on the slopes. We got back in the early afternoon to relax for a bit and then got ready for dinner. We met the Nostrands for dinner at Chevy's...mmmmm...good! We then headed back to our house for presents and a YUMM-O cake that Jeff made for me. Apparently it took Jeff (with Aaron's assistance) 2 days and about 400 ingredients to make. It was so good! Click for some pictures from my day

It's all about Ella!
Today was a day all for Ella...she is the diva princess and it was her birthday afterall! The day started with the "Birthday Bucket" then a couple of hours of playing and crafting, followed by a nature walk, onto lunch with Grandma and Uncle Jeff at Red Robin, more playing, dinner, and the finale of presents and cupcakes at the fire station with Daddy. Here's some pics of the day....
And here's the grand prize present, since the bike she got for her 2nd birthday kinda 'exploded' at the BMX track a couple of weeks ago!
We tricked her with relighting candles!
And then tomorrow...the day of Lisa...it is my birthday afterall! LOL!

Almost 4...
Saturday Ella had a birthday party with 5 of her friends at Oregon Street Tea Company. It was the perfect party for little girls! It took a bit for everyone to get over their shyness but eventually everyone loosened up and had a great time. The girls got to play dress up, had a cupcake hunt, a story, an etiquette lesson and a yummy lunch with hot cocoa, heart-shaped sandwiches, fruit, scones, and cupcakes with fluffy pink frosting. So sweet! Click here for more photos.

Thank you
Thank you to everyone who has given me compliments and support with this new business venture. I'm
happy that people are liking what I'm producing, cause I'm liking producing it! I will be continually putting more items up for sale as quickly as I can. I have lots and lots of ideas, just need the time to implement them. Seems the kids still want to eat and play, they don't seem to realize I have another enterprise to run!
Thank you again!

Juella Designs is here!
One of my goals for this new year was to make my fantasy handmade jewelry shop a reality and now that dream has come true! Juella Designs is up and running! I have joined an incredible online marketplace that sells handmade goods called Etsy and so far everyone there has been completely helpful and inspiring.
For quite some time now my days and nights have been consumed with thinking about everything and anything related to making and selling jewelry and the more I get into it, the more I don't think that will change! So much for a part-time business....LOL!
