Very cool pictures . . . where were they taken? And it brings a question to mind that I have never gotten answered . . . when the flag is flying at half mast, how can you know why? I saw it last week flying at half mast and wondered what the reason was that particular day. Any answers for me??? :)

Thanks Steph. The flag was taken at the Veterans Cemetary out near Igo. I'm not sure actually about the half mast thing. While I was there this morning, there was funeral happening so maybe that's why? That is a really good question though and I'd like to know too. There has been some local men killed in the war in the last few weeks so that could be part of it too.
The other pictures were taken many miles out past Igo-Ono. I had gotten the kids all dressed up to take some portraits and wanted to find some pretty rolling hills scenery as a backdrop and wouldn't you know they fall asleep and there were fences everywhere, I wouldn't have been able to let them "run and play" amongst the dry grass. So back to the drawing board on that one!

Lisa,
Love the barn pix...I have an affinity for old barns...not sure where it came from, but it does exist. Great shots as usual:)

I really love that area! (Igo-Ono) I actually love old barns too--you could do a great portfolio of just barns, there are so many wonderful ones in the north state...nice reading list, too, btw! I will have to check a couple of those out!
